I mean causative modality. second most important factor should be considered by the physician is heat pattern, that is reflected as the symptoms of heat of local organ or parts of the body, sweating pattern, frequency and color of urination. and thirst pattern. Last and most important point must be considered by the physician is behavior of the patient during heat stage.1. Bryonia:
Arsenicum album is one of the frequently indicated remedies in cases of fever. The foremost indication is profound weakness, accompanied by marked restlessness. Other key features include frequent vomiting, diarrhoea, and a pronounced chilliness. Patients characteristically desire to sit near the fire for warmth.
A peculiar keynote is the contrast between the head and body: the head remains warm while the rest of the body is cold, leading the patient to lie with the head uncovered. There is a strong desire for cold water, taken frequently but in small sips. A general burning sensation may be present, which is ameliorated by external heat.
Arsenicum album may also serve as a remedy in rheumatic fever, particularly when chilliness is prominent.
Eupatorium perfoliatum is a versatile remedy, applicable in many types of fever—intermittent fever, “break-bone” fever, villous fever, and even rheumatic fever. The mucous membranes are the primary seat of disease, and patients often fall ill after exposure to dry, cold winds. Fever is accompanied by cough and cold, with marked bone pains, described as if the bones would break.
Chills typically begin in the lower back and spread upward. The liver is the secondary seat of action, with symptoms including nausea, vomiting—often of bile—bitter taste in the mouth, and headache without perspiration.
6. Ipecac:
Constant nausea is the foremost keynote of Ipecacuanha, regardless of the type of fever—intermittent, continued, bilious, or otherwise. The remedy shows close resemblance to Rhus toxicodendron and Bryonia, often serving as a complementary medicine in fever states.
A striking feature is that nausea persists without relief, and when accompanied by bleeding, the symptom complex is further strengthened, confirming the selection of Ipecacuanha.
7. Pulsatilla:
Thirstlessness despite of the intense heat is the characteristic feature of pulsatilla patient, in case of fever. skin remains warm even on touch, pulsatilla is particularly useful in fever of gastric origin or in typhoid nature of fever, is also equally useful in case of rheumatic fever, with the symptoms of patient feel chilliness in warm room with joint pain.
